Aiken Drum is believed to be originally used in Scottish folk lore. The Canadians brought the name back to fame in their children's rhymes. Then along came Julian May! A fine author who has written numerous novels, the most popular one being "The Many Colored Land and the Golden Torc". This is where Aiken Drum comes into things... In these novels he starts out a jokester (notice the similarities yet?) and rogue. He matures into a noble and good person who becomes King of their "Many Colored Land". Tis' my joke upon the world when I adopted the name Aiken Drum that my ambition was no less than to become King of the world! If you want to know more about my family and myself you can visit our personal family website listed below. There is a picture or two if you really want to torture yourself... *grin* It makes "them" wonder! Aiken
